Spoiler deployment

Spoiler deployment
I have an '03 996TT. My spoiler stopped deploying on one side only. So I sent it out to have it serviced, and they discovered that the plastic block inside the drive, through which a worm gear threads, had broken. They made a new one of those and serviced the rest of it. Got it re-installed, and it now deploys on both sides, but I'm still getting the spoiler failure warning light, and it looks like it isn't deploying fully. Can anyone tell me exactly how far it should rise from the closed position when fully deployed?

Sounds like the system wasn't bled and balanced correctly. Rise is about 3.5 inches, but this is an estimate, not a measurement. One ram is going higher then the other because the fluid level is not equalized. They are two parallel hydraulic systems.

Can you please PM the shops contact info. I am replacing the block on my spoiler and can't easily identify the thread through the middle. Did they make the replacement out of bronze?

Sometimes the microswitch pops out of its seat. I put a dab of ca to keep it in place. I would also like to know what shop serviced the spoiler mechanism and for how much? Did they rebuild the rams /pistons too?
Thanks
