I like your style ! I also plot out car prices. I like to do ebay completed listings that sold so I can get a true value number. Asking prices will give you many more data points though.

I did capture key things such as tip vs manual, cab vs coupe, but not a lot more, took notes if something was highly desirable or not. PM me for the data. Manual is about 3 to 4% higher on average. Big news is the age mattered much less than the miles.

thank you. Back in 1990 or so I was tracking 911 prices by model year. I was also a subscriber to Excellence. I wrote them and shared my data. I never received a response, but a couple months later a certain Mr. Bruce Anderson started publishing pricing trends. It really upset me at the time...

He is at a very fair price for the car based on my data from above. In fact maybe a bit low. If all records are there, and car was properly maintained, this car is to the buyer's benefit.

I considered that car and asked for the maintenance records. It is being sold by a dealer as a "personal car" (whatever that means). The the current owner has had the car for about a year. I was "spoon fed" the records one item at a time and only for the specific things I asked for. Once I asked for all the records in a package (scan to PDF) the seller went silent. Other more responsive sellers kept my attention. Car might be fine and even a "deal" but I would make sure you got a look at all the records first. With over 100k miles, that history is everything.

I've never purchased a car out of the state. It might not be that bad to fly out and drive back as long as it's located in the West coast, as I'm from WA state but not sure how I would transport the car from elsewhere...

my 996TT purchase is on a hauler from TX to MI as we speak... eBay has a service called Uship. So far I'd give them an easy 5 stars out of 5. Cost was $570.
