Rear spoiler leak, fixed 997 GT2 wing option
I guess the time has come for the rear spoiler leak problem, it's only an 2001 so I guess it was a good run, and now throwing the "Spoiler Failure" Warning on cold days when the spoiler kicks up.... and I can obviously see the leak...
I have been debating on try to follow a couple of the DIY fixes or go with a GT2 fixed wing. What caught my eyes is the 997 GT2 wing with the new side airducs.
This company (wickedmotors.com) makes both the front bumper and rear spoiler for the 997 GT2 that fits on the 996 TTs. I was wondering if anyone has it or have heard any feedback with those?
Any input is highly appreciated !!!!
Thanks
RK
Here are the links for the wing, and bumper.

wicked makes ( some ) wicked looking stuff. has a fairly lousy rep on the street and is highly priced, and i mean like ruf level pricing. most anything except the crazy exotic and over the top ( think down the shore joisy lol ) stuff and certainly the replica gt2 stuff can be had from precision. the much better place. edwin or tony (?)
i would shop then hit them up. but before i did that?
i would fix my stock hydraulics and call precision to order a strosek
...but. whats not to like about that front end conversion in your post. i'm always thinking about it, but my car eats debris, so that wouldnt be practical or i'd have done it by now. rats.

Burning Brakes
I might wait.....very soon I think we will have other options to fix our hydraulics for good.
eRam kit to replace the hydraulics on 996 wings
eRam kit to replace the hydraulics on 996 wings
This.
I like the way the guy doing the all-electric replacement is going about his product development.

^ why yes, of course. forgive me for not remembering carerra daves? new electric spolier solution. i'm sure many are waiting to hear of the testers and their initial thoughts on them. i would think any tt owner would be interested, though many like to stay oem on every last bit. which i can understand.

Edwin or Tony? Got some contact info? I'd love to talk to them... In California we only collect leafs.. so far... but I run the vacuum cleaner to suck it out.... :-)

I have no first hand experience, but that stuff is quite ugly and doesn't appear to be of high quality. I'm not typically a fan of body kits that try to make older cars resemble newer ones either (some really awful Audis out there).

me personally i like the front but agree in theory. i tend to change things either preemptively or out of necessity ( broken tabs = new led tails ) so that front appeals to me. but i wouldn't buy from wicked. but i do from precision 911. they make excellent stuff.

Exactly. That is why it caught my eyes But at the same time I don't want it to look so extravagant like a body kitt, just a bit low key.... But I do wonder on the quality as I had fiber glass stuff in my previous car and they do chip fairly easy...
