He may be pissed he decided to track the car, and doesn't want any further reminding of that decision.

If one tracks their 996 Turbo, they have to be prepared to lose it, or be prepared for an extensive rebuild.

I wonder if the previous owner posts on this forum?

Wow, that's a weird response...unless of course you called him and said "nah nah na boo boo, I have what you lost for a fraction of the price"

Which I doubt was the case

If someone told me they rebuilt a car of mine that I had wrecked...I'd say "that's pretty cool, send me some pics"

In fact I keep in touch with a couple guys I sold my cars to..

Probably 120 hours give or take on it, but took a while because it was done after hours

No I havnt im going to purchase a new camshaft accumulator and change it to see if that fixes my check engine light. I was gonna try switching the sensors from bank one to bank two to see if the check engine light switches but I need special took to take out the other side sensor.

Great work! I did the same thing (after hours and weekends) when I did the LS1 swap on my old RX-7. It was so rewarding to have it fire up and drive it down the street knowing I put in my own wrench time and created my car. You are going to have a ton of fun with her. Keep us posted!
