OT: Lamborghini Huracan
I've always thought (and still do) that my 997 will be my forever car. Even as a daily driver, each drive is still special, and I always to look back after I've parked it.
But a couple of weeks back my wife surprised me for my birthday with a trip to Vegas, or more specifically to Exotics Racing. Long story/short, I drove the Huracan Performante and I'm completely blown away by it. I have a son that enters college this fall, but I've found myself daily scanning the web looking for one. In reality the Performante is overkill for the road (or perhaps any current Lambo?), so my sights are on the LP580-2, and in four years I'm hoping there'll still be a few nice low mileage ones to be had. Any of you have one in your stable, or plan on acquiring one?

Never have been a huge Lamborghini fan myself, always preferred Ferrari when it came to the exotic brands. However, the Huracan is really a pretty awesome car. Sounds great, looks great and apparently drives great. Have not driven one. I would give it another year or to anyway and see if you can get one for a bit less, or if you were willing to, get an R8 V10 and get a very similar driving experience although the looks and badge are going to be less exotic than a Lamborghini. Either way best of luck, thats a pretty awesome car to upgrade to.

I've not driven the Lambo, but I've driven the Audi R8+. It was the most disappointing Supercar test I've done. It was a numb experience. I had high hopes for it. I wandered into Lambo and the Sales Manager heard me out about my issues. He grabbed 2 sets of keys, a Hurrucan and Aventador. He started up the Hurrucan and all he said was " numb enough for you?" and just smiled.
The noise is much better out of the Lambo
Vs the R8
The noise out of the Aventador is next level

Had a Huracan and loved it. My favorite was my 458 though. I miss that one. Sold the 458 after wife bought me the DB11 for my 50th birthday. I like the 458 way better, but don't tell her . . .

The Huracan is also part of my wish list particularly a 580-2 as it seems more fun due to RWD and at the same time more attainable. But my logical side is bothering me though as an Audi R8 V10 Plus is practically the same car packaged to be more practical, much less expensive, and from car reviews I've read, seems to handle better than the similar Huracan LP-610.
I've also had bad experiences with Italian cars particularly Ferrari as even their modern cars just do not last and breaks down in unimaginable ways that made me hesitant to drive it far from home. It was actually a big relief when someone finally bought it from me. Italian supercars are just so beautiful and I hope that Lamborghini will offer a better ownership experience especially since they have German technology behind them.
So at this point, I'm keeping my eyes open in case a good used low-mileage deal pops out.

IMO every car guy needs to check the "Italian exotic" box at least once in their life. For me, it was a Ferrari, but the Huracan is a great car by all reports.

I've seen a drag race between stock 991.2 TTS and Huracan Performante. Was surprised that the TTS actually won.
I still like a Huracan though, but with the more comfy regular seats and not the carbon buckets.

Good friend of mine picked up the LP-610 model a while back. He'd had Gallardo before but he likes the Huracan much more. Shockingly fast, the acceleration is staggering. Very tight at high speed. I'll never be able to own one but it was nice to at least ride in it!

Huracan is the best Lamborghini produced since VW took over, period! In literally all tests it crushes everyone, sound amazing, looks great, and is in the sweet spot of the range. Now, being 6'2, I don't fit in it with a helmet, so probably could never own one.

I've driven the Gallardo which I thought was garbage, but I know the Huracan is miles better than its predecessor. What other cars did you drive? Buying a 2 wheel drive lambo is never a bad thing, although I would go the GT route all day every day.

Driving the Huracan and the Aventador back to back, I found the cockpit of the Aventador surprisingly more cramped despite its outer dimensions.

Interesting, I haven't been in one to comment. But both Gallardo and Huracan are quite short, so tall guys may have a hard time fitting, specially if you're tracking wearing a helmet!
