So I purchased a 2005 911 last month.I was told by the dealer that the IMS had been done.He said don't worry about it and he would get the documentation that it was done.I have dealt with this dealer in the past and trusted that regardless he would take care of me either way.So he was not able to prove it was done he honered his word and took care of it.As he is somewhat a friend and I have done MANY deals with him I decided to pay for the part myself.
I could have been a dick and insisted that he pay for everything or take the car back,but felt a fair compromise would be I pay for the part and they install it.My car has 34k miles.Doing a new clutch was on the table as well but they said the clutch was fine and didn't need to be changed.The car is in very good condition in and out so I am not surprised the clutch is fine.We also did the RMS which was fine.
I did get the pro kit from LN..
i am thrilled to have the car back!
