Push Disc (second button next to Tuner) and select the source.

2009 C2S 145K miles

Assuming you have the thing turned on, it should just play. Try pressing the CD button.. I assume you did. The issue may be the CD or the format on the CD. Try another, store-purchased CD.... then another one. They can get dirty or scratched.

Did you make this CD? I found that CDs or DVDa I authored may not play... 50/50 shot.

Peace

If that occurs with all CDs, something is off with your optical disk.

Maybe it is just Styx.
I heard that it will play Fleetwood Mac Rumors but not Tusk.

Can you hear your radio? If not, press in and release the volume ****. The player's power may be turned off.

The system checks the media and states - unreadable. So, the player starts the process but fails.

I have a couple store-bought CDs that my ‘09 won’t play. I have found no rhyme or reason to the ones it doesn’t like. It reads 99% of my disks—even home-burned.

Default CD not playing

Everything else works fine. It just refuses to play ANY CD I throw into it.
I grabbed about 10 store bought and none worked.

I haven't tried one that I have burned.

Sounds like the optical sensor in your CD player has failed and won't find the start of the disc or play. The DVD player we had in our Infiniti failed the same way - you could here the disc spinning, if you opened the lid you could see that the optical beam mechanism had moved accross, but it never picked up or started to play the CD.

Get yourself an inexpensive BT dongle that pairs with your phone and plugs into the AUX jack of the multi port audio interface and stream whatever you want from your phone to the car's PCM.

Here's my Cayenne setup from the same generation PCM. USB cable keeps it charged up, phone streams to dongle, input to stereo comes through the AUX jack.

Thanks for the trouble shooting. I actually have a 'dated' phone that still has the headphone jack so I believe with the proper plug, I can bypass the dongle.

Thanks much

Yeah, if it won't read any CDs, you've got a player issue.

My audio input on my '09 doesn't play well with my Galaxy. I can't play music from my phone even when its directly connected through the audio interface. So, good luck with your phone.
