Good child seat that fits 997/992
Hey all,
We have our first baby on the way, and I am looking to get a nice child seat that is a great quality, light, safe, easy to use, AND something that fits the back (or front) of 997 and possibly 991/992 (could be my upgrade).
Any good options out there? Thinking of getting one during Black Friday if I could find good deal!

Congrats! Just about any infant seat should fit without its base passing the belt through the hooks on the top of the seat. After that we had a rear-facing graco contender 65.
Front seat mounted baby seats require disarming the airbag(s).
My 3.5 year old currently rides in a front facing Britax Marathon clicktight in my 997.2 coupe (its one of the few seats with a sufficiently high and forward belt path needed for our belt/receptacle locations) I never tried this one rear-facing, but I imagine it would work well for that too.
When he was a baby, riding just above the engine used to put him right to sleep while daddy got to go driving.
If you use some baby seat brands as a search term, it should bring up quite a few threads here discussing fitment, quality, and so on

Opening this up again.
curious if Porsche Junior Plus Childseat fits the back of 997 better than Britax or other standard child seats?

Based on the recommendations in this thread, I just ordered the Diono 5i ST. Apparently it's narrow enough to fit in the 997 rear seat, without removing the base cushion.

997.2 cab car seats
I have both a Diono and a CYBEX Eternis S and use them forward facing in the back seat. I couldn't find the Porsche Junior Seat anywhere in stock last year when I was looking.
The grandkids are 7 and 5 and the shoulder harness/body weight holds the seats in place as there is no tether. They're adequate for driving around town on a weekend but I would try to get the Porsche seat if I were using it regularly. My guess is that it would fit a little better, but IDK.
I do pop the seat cushions and backs out to get a better fit.
