Brake switch or throttle body.

+1 to the brake switch. I picked up my 06 C2S a couple of weeks ago and had the intermittent unresponsive throttle (which frightened me at first). Long story short, ~$20 Brake Switch from Porsche and five minutes of work and it was solved. I believe it has something to do with the PSM cutting the throttle because of strange signals from the faulty brake switch.

Burning Brakes
If it's the stability management cutting the throttle/applying the brakes then you should see some blinking lights on the dash too.

Corrsct. It's a safety thing so that you can't end up in a situation with a runaway pinned throttle pedal (physically or electronically) that the brakes can't override. Even at full throttle, stepping on the brake pedal shuts things down more than just the braking force applied does.

I had a bad wheel speed sensor when this problem first developed for me in my 2005 997.1. Problem never threw codes nor did dash light up. Took forever to diagnose too
