Default Help with 997.2 Base Coolant Leak

Hi,

I need some advice on what part to replace regarding this leak I discovered today. I saw a small pink puddle in the garage which I suspect is coolant. Looking up in the engine I saw this dried deposit in the U shaped hose (number 2) in the illiustration which is dripping from a part called connection piece or coolant flange (number 1) in the illustration. Is this common? Do I just need to replace part #12 or the connection piece? Thanks.

Vic

Red is the leak

Circled is the U hose in the katalog

2009 C2S 160k miles

That is a hard plastic elbow. It may be leaking from above where the main feed from the engine to the front radiators is located (item 12) Best to pull out the whole airbox to see all of the junctions. You will see everything you need to see from there.

Peace,
Bruce in Philly

Upon removal of the airbox there is a leak on the main feed as Bruce In Philly has suggested. I included pictures. Do I just replace the hose? This is an 09 base Carrera with 65,000 miles. I presume I do not need to drain the coolant for this, just replace what is losr during the change? Thanks in advance.

Hi There, I have an '09 C2S with a small coolant leak too. Did you get your leak resolved and the hoses changed?
