997.2 owners, how much oil do you burn?
Have seen many questions around this, but thought it would be helpful to have a running poll to see the numbers!

105k on the clock. I usually lose 1 bar or .4 liters every 5000 miles as that is my oil change interval.

19k on the odo. First 3k miles of ownership. It dropped from the top bar to the second from the top since my oil change in March. I used Mobile 1 5w50, 2012 GTS.

For the first 30k miles, down about one bar per 3000 miles. Since 30k, no indicated consumption per 4000 mile oil change interval. Total mileage now 42,000.

For those using the gauge realize that two drops of oil could make the gauge move a bar. Or thermal expansion over a 10F variation. Quantity in at an oil change plus oil added between changes vs quantity out at the next oil change is really the only accurate measurement.

OK, you smug owners who burn no oil... (Wayne!)..... maybe, just maybe you are scoring your bores. Think about it! You are not burning oil because your pistons are starving for a little lubrication. Soon, maybe this coming weekend, your engines are going to explode. Fire.... Shrapnel.... Mushroom cloud to the heavens. Yea, that is going to happen to you smug non-oil burners.

To smug owner Wayne- which coast? we do have several. Mine doesn't burn any oil and I don't get yelled at, what gives? Also last week did 700 miles on the California "Nurburing north loop" AKA Cal 33 to Cal 58 and points west to coast PCH and wine country back roads. Did not see any reason to burn any oil but probably wore out some of the air in the tires. Should probably check it and send a sample to Bruce for analysis and therapy. Don't want any squashed oxygen molecules or god forbid a twisted and dizzy nitrogen molecule.
