Default TPMS problem?

My TPMS lit up my dash with warning of 5 pounds loss of pressure on my drivers rear tire, but pressure shown on instrument cluster was identical to passenger tire. When I got back to my garage I measured the pressure and found it to be properly inflated. Hmmmmm
Don’t want to add more air, doesn’t need any more. Is the sensor bad?
It displays the actual pressure accurately, but throws a low pressure situation. Will replacing the individual sensor fix this, or is a trip to dealer in my future?
Appreciate any advice.

Funny how winter tires were not selectable, just summer. I had been deliberately running lower pressures for comfort. Both rears were 36 lbs. the dash display only alerted me to the drivers side. Maybe it can’t report on multiple tires. Anyway, I added 4 lbs to each rear to be 39 lbs cold. Problem solved.

Deleting this system was one of the best decisions I ever made.

2009 C2S 162K miles

Is your system set to "Full" or "Partial" load?

Peace
