Default iPhone mount suggestions for 997.2 porsche?

Anyone have any suggestions for best iphone mount for 12 max pro in my 997.2 porsche?
I tried vent mount, but wasn’t happy with it. Suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

I got this qi charger https://www.scosche.com/magicgrip-swing-arm-mount-dash

I will try to add a pic of it in my 997.2 but I stuck the adhesive pad to the right of the cd slot on the PCM. The arm swings up so it sits covering the hazard button in between the two vents. It gets in the way of the screen a little but no biggie. It has been very durable for the last two weeks and it love how it "grabs" the phone when you place it on the wireless pad. Power is from the passenger slot but I want to wire it up so it is not ON all the time. Don't need a dead battery. Highly recommend.

I’m using a rennline mount with a wireless charger, cable is tucked under the side panel.

the rennline instructions have sit lower but I managed to get it higher by setting it above the clips.

had the vent mount but on fast turns it would come off.

I join the question.
Neither magnetic nor product with connection to air conditioner.

I would also appreciate getting recommendations for a good and durable product that sticks to the windshield.

I had the product from the "RAM" company and I was very disappointed. A heavy product that does not hold.

I would highly recommend a mount from proclips. We use them on all of our cars. I have the one that mounts on the passenger transmission tunnel.

I can tell you what doesn’t work - the WeatherTech cup phone holder. It sounds awesome but it tilts and doesn’t work well in our holders.

I have one that mounts on the air-con vents just over the Radio Head unit. This one has a small hook that grabs the back of the vent blade. Holds pretty good (not great) but works and is removable. Cost was under $10 on Ebay.

These were mentioned before but the PO installed a Rennline magnetic mount to the right of the PCM unit. I added a small plate inside my phone case and use this mount all the time (with a charger cord from the passenger footwell) for my Samsung phone. The phone will twist occasionally but has never come off.

For the track I use a RAM mount on the windshield and never had any issues while driving. I have had the mount come off a couple of times over the last year while parked but it re-attaches easily. Has never failed on track.

Now if I could just figure out how to get a good microphone for hands free calling...

I removed the central door lock button and put a magnetic mount (modified a clip on vent type) in it's place.

I am trying out a version of a "carmount" on mine.....I placed the swiveling magnet/mount right over the SIM card slot on the PCM (gives you an idea of the mount's size/footprint). I can still reach the tuning **** and the phone doesn't restrict viewing of the PCM itself, it doesn't restrict the a/c vent either. Holds the iPhone13 Pro super sturdy and allows for quick and easy viewing of the screen if needed, the height is perfect too. I will have to take a pic of the iPhone mounted to it but the mount itself looks like this....

I use a magnetic mount that goes into the CD player. Works great and the only thing it obstructs is the emergency light button.

PanaVise mount that goes to the right of the head unit $30. Then a super strong magnet from Amazon that fits the mount for $10. Then the Apple magnetic charger to the magnet. Thing holds my phone perfectly and charges. I however do not put cases on my phone which makes me a monster to most people.

I have a ProClip that mounts to the lower right of the head unit. Wireless charging what works with magnetic iPhones. I have mine plugged into the port in the right footwell. The plug has a USB-C port so a passenger can keep their phone charged as well. I little pricey but they work. I had them in my 2013 Mustang GT (traded for my 997.2), and my ex-wife’s 2003 Miata. She liked it as well.

^ forgot about Pro Clip, had one in our Jeep Wrangler….great construction, super easy to install. I like it, not obtrusive or unsightly.

thanks,

Rennline Mount modified with a Spiegel MagSafe Ball.

Lowest profile and size, MagSafe magnets are strong.
