I was not trying to offend anyone that like PDK. I just wanted to present my side of the argument. I know there is a reason why manual is dying and it makes me sad.
To me manual vs dual clutch is like, taking photos with a analog camera vs digital camera. Yes everyone can take a almost perfect photo with a digital camera with just a press of a button. They don't need years of experience in photography to achieve it. On the other hand taking photos with a analog camera is way more difficult to get a good result. But it's the process of trying to get to that point is what makes it appealing to some people.

Yeah, I hear you as it makes me sad too. I love the PDK but I completely understand the allure of shifting and being in full control of the vehicle. That being said, new automobile technology is taking us to performance levels that were unimaginable a few decades ago, so there's definitely some perks that come with progress.

Always loved the photo
I have no idea if guy in photos is an RL member?
Also never noticed the frown-look on the stuffed Gorilla in background. Gorilla must own PDK

Nick Murray is a RL member. He use to do a lot of 991 content but has the worst luck with 991s that Porsche bought his last one back because of a litany of issues that the dealer was unable to resolve. They have bought back his previous car as well, or he dumped it because of ongoing issues. He has a Macan and 993 cab now.

For me:
Daily driver or track use: PDK
Weekend use, cruising: Manual
I had a DSG Audi S4. Was my daily driver. Had a BMW 335xi manual prior. Due to some health issues, I thought I'd be fine with PDK, specifically after having some seat time in my friends 997.2 Turbo PDK. After about a month of living with the PDK, it was too easy. I knew I needed a manual back. Sold that car for other reasons a year later. Bought 997.1 GT3 manual. Happy with my choice. All that matters is that you're happy with yours. Happy to go more in depth if you have questions.
