Default My 2006 911/997 S

Hi All, New to Rennlist,
Just got a new to me 2006 911/997 Carrera S C2. 52k miles. Im sure I paid to much, but car is pretty clean and had a very good record, even with recent PPI, Scope CYL., insp. report and comp. checks all good prior to purchase.
Got her home, and sent in to shop for all the needed services right away. Hopefully back early next week! Will update with pics. I have been trying to locate a rear type wing or spoiler that is a cleaner cut look, not fast & Furious.
Anyone add a rear deck and or wing? I have spent Hrs looking and seem to keep going back to the 06-08 OEM Turbo wings. Is kinda the style I like. For some reason everthing I find for sale on here is very old and or on Ebay 4-5K.
Not Trying to be cheap but 5k for a used wing, just seems like alot. With additional parts still needed and paint work. Below pics are on the lot and pic. of the wheels I got going on her and black rock guards, with Porsche entered three stripes down the centre of car.
Just wanted to introduce myself and the new toy! (3x Porsche Owner)

On the Lot Down south.

New rims and rock guards on way!

I plan to just use the 911S for the sides, And this is what the three top stripes will look like. What do you think? Going to make her mine!

Congrats on a sharp looking car. Especially with the new wheels coming. What are they? They look somewhat similar to the HRE P40's I had on my -09 C4S but I don't think that's it. Slight differences. And I'm not a wing man but if I put one on I agree that the rather discrete turbo wing or similar would be a top choice. Crazy prices though that you refer to.

Lastly, if you have a 2006 you don't have PDK. Either you mistyped the year of the car or you have a TIP transmission since PDK wasn't introduced until 2009.

I’m selling my rear wing. It’s a Getty design aero wing that is excellent shape and painted Arctic silver.

Congrats on the car and the wheel improvement. I don't normally like black wheels, but with the stone guards and planned stripes, that's going to look really sharp.

We did a Turbo wing on my wife's C2S. Think it looks great and the active aero works. You'll need to go to an aftermarket intake to make it work as you need clearance for the spoiler rams down the sides (evoms, K&N, or Fabspeed J-Pipe - not the Y-Pipe). My recommendation is the evoms one.

Congrats on the buy.
I think those wheels look darn near perfect.
Pretty sure you're not PDK though.

Thank you,
Love the Pink And the wing!
I even like the wing set up w/o the upper wing on. Thought about just filling the holes. Or just install and have it down all the time. Not crazy about the "double edge look wing. To keep it low profile.
The. silver wasn't my first choice, rather I tried to focus on the history, quality, previous owners, ect. of the car then see what was left. (3 Silver options)
So, Adding the black is to tone down the silver and add something special to make it mine I guess.

To the OP, Welcome to Rennlist, the 997.1 club and the Silver 997 Club. I also went with the inspiration of that photo with the black wheels and stone guards. That photo is from the Avant Guard website showcasing their Ruger Mesh wheels. I agree that a Silver car with Silver wheels is too much silver and needs to be balanced or accented. Mine turned out to my liking.

My wheels are the Wheel Dynamics 808's in Satin Black (Rebranded Ruger Mesh) 19x8.5 ET 45 / 19x11 ET 56 Fitted with Michelin PS4S 235/35-19 / 305/30-19. Get the wheels Ceramic coated to make cleaning easier.

Car looks very clean, I also plan to add "911S" on the lower door areas. With Carrera in there its just too long. Other pic is the roof stripes on order. Also have the fibreglass headlight rings coming (may keep them silver) Rear will Just have Porsche and 911 S just under it. is the plan. Bring to get her done b4 spring time

Welcome, this wing is a Tech Art Type 3. Not sure of the cost, it came on the car when I got it. I think its what your looking for.
