As the C4S is a widebody, and the 997.2 is the DFI engine, I wonder how many manuals are out there?

Not to disparage any GTS build, but relatively a C4S could be a smart buy in today's escalating price world. They have the same wide body, could be an "all weather car", and they were more expensive than an S in most cases - (my 2011 stickered at $128,980).
I believe all the builds of straight carrera, carrera S, carrera 4S, or GTS, don't really pull until you get to about 5500 rpms, and they the reason you are driving one comes alive...... Therefore, any model is one that can give the sports car experience and shows why you should own one!

Roughly 10% - 20% of any 997.2 sub model will be 6 sp. Mine is a 2011 C2S Coupe 6 sp. Total C2S coupe production 849 that year. The dealer estimated that there were probably less than 100 6sp coupes sold in the US in 2011. Don't know what percentage of total were sold in US. I'm guessing 20% were 6sp.

Long time listener, first time caller.

As of a few weeks ago I'm the proud owner of a Meteor Gray '09 C4S Cabrio, manual, Sport Chrono, Sport seats, Bose, painted seat backs, carbon fiber door sills. $126k sticker.

So......when seeing the prices of 997.2 GTS manuals out there......better go find a 997.2 manual S or 4S quick! With only 23 horsepower difference! How many would notice?

I personally couldn’t tell much difference when I drove a .2 Carrera 2 and a .2 Carrera 2S back to back, and that is around 30HP.

I immediately opened my search up to a base Carrera after that, especially since it could save me around $10k.

The biggest argument for the GTS is the ability to have RWD and a wide body.

The 993 C2S is bonkers pricing because of this.

I've seen two comparisons of C2S/GTS specs in the last couple years. 0 to 60 there is no difference. The only thing I miss in my C2S is the sport exhaust.
