Default Best rock guards?

I have clear rock guards now on the rear sides in front of wheels, I ordered a new set but they were really thin.

Doe anyone know where to get the thicker version rock guard in black? As I can only find clear oem ones?

Even a sheet material, I could cut them custon to match current size/layout or remove old and install the new.

I am not sure where you could get “thick” black ones… but any vinyl shop could plot you some.. you could have them laminate a flat black with a satin or matte laminate over top making a thicker final product…

some time ago I traced mine to plot some new ones and have a CAD file somewhere…. DM me if you are interested… I am happy to share that

https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/55903500.html

I bought the black ones from suncoast, they are reasonably thick.

Hmmm. I had my rock guards changed a couple of years ago and I wouldn't describe the OEM 3M material as being "thin", rather they are more on the "thick" side for my taste. But it "clearly" does the job!

Agree. Best to change them out sooner -- rather than later. Too many horror stories about random damage occurring to the clear coat when removing, either when removing with a hairdryer or experienced with a heat gun.

Surprised no one has mentioned magnagrafik...I have a pair and (a) they are magnetic, so easy to take on and off and no, they don't fly off the car at speed and (b) definitely thicker than stock. Love the look of these, they go on right over the old rock guards https://magnagrafik.com/

FD Motorsports has a 8mil and 14mil option cut from 3M film.

Stone Guards

I was one of those who spent 2 days with goo gone, a steamer, credit card, and a DA polisher to get rid of 12 year old guards. Not a fun process but glad I did it. I ended up getting the Porsche OEM guards (which are also 3M).

EDIT: I missed that part about wanting black ones, but leaving it in case anyone is looking for thicker clear guards.

Default Magnagrafix

I second these. Someone paid them forward to me to see if I liked the look of black on silver( I do). Come off easily to clean and never a problem losing at speed. I did remove mine as they were just starting to turn and were replacements. Took my time with a steamer and took about an hour each. Get them off while you can

I was also interested in these, but they don't appear to be responding to emails. Not sure if they went out of business or what.

I ordered mine a couple months ago and they are great and were delivered pretty fast after placing my order. I went with the carbon weave look and it is a nice contrast against my black C4S.

Magnagrafik appears to be non-functional now.
They have a web site, telephone mail box is full and
phone is never answered. Email goes unanswered.
Many report the same, too bad because theirs
look easy to be install over the old ones.
