Are there any options for the 3.8l to swap to oval tips or tips similar to the base Carrera tips for the quads? Larger pipe diameter has been an obstacle .

I found a cheap stainless set on eBay when doing my wife's rear bumper conversion. That was 9 years and 70k miles ago and they've held up fine. The reason was her aftermarket Vorsteiner rear bumper has an integrated diffuser so to get the end of the tips to protrude just past the bumper, the tip length needed to be longer. Think the brand might be Cherry Bonb. These would stick out too far with a stock bumper setup, but maybe they have a similar but shorter version.

The base and S tips use the same size diameter outlet pipe. I have a set of base tips I will sell. Let me know if interested.

you talking 997.1 or 997.2.? Not sure what you are saying is correct for 997.1 .....

997.1 base and S use different size muffler tips. An adapter ring from someone like FVD is required to fit S tips onto base muffler outlets.
