How I look at it too. As someone else said, if you're lucky you may receive 5 or 10 cents which seems typical in class action lawsuits for those who receive anything at all while the attorneys involved are the big winners. But since my car qualified, I spent 5 minutes completing the application as I can't see any downside to throwing my name in the hat. I'm sure I'll forget about the whole thing in a matter of days and if a check arrives sometime in the future I don't expect much.
Class action was my area of expertise and I settled over a billion representing plaintiff side, but most of my work in my 28 year legal career before retirement was representing companies in class action and collective action lawsuits.
The point really is punishing the manufacturer or company to try and prevent the bad behavior from continuing into future decisions. Is it perfect, no and you are not getting rich of it. Get a job if you need money. The point is deterring future bad behavior.
Again, it ain’t perfect by any stretch, but It is all America has in the system currently in place.

I may have missed it, but what determines if you get 100 vs 200 ? I got the 100, but it seems most are getting 200 . Is it original owner vs non original owner ?

You get half if someone also makes a claim on the same VIN. Both PO's also filed for this suit on my past Cayman GTS and My 991.2. So I received 2 checks for $100 ea.

I submitted a claim for it back in like September 2022. I bought my 2009 4S cab used in 2013 and sold it last year 2022. I submitted a copy of my purchase and a copy of my sale agreement. On Monday May 1 I received a check for $200. Gave it to my wife.

I submitted 5 claims in July 2022. They confirmed they received all of them in September of 2022. I have not received anything yet. Hopefully soon, but anything gained will be a nice surprise.

I did a mobile deposit for my $200 check last Friday. This morning, I got an email from the bank stating the following:
"We placed a hold on a check you deposited at a financial center. The full amount isn't available yet. Hold Reason: A hold was placed on your check(s) because check specific information indicates item may be returned."
What's up with that? Anyone else get the same message?

I was pleasantly surprised. I received check for $738.24. I’m original owner of 2011 997.2, base six speed. No sport Chrono. To be honest, I didn’t pay much attention to the basis for the class action case, but I have the impression that it may have had something to do with these cars not achieving the claimed MPG. If that’s the case, I wonder if they would stop payment on the check if I were to say something along the lines , that I never payed the least attention to expected gas milage when I made my decision to purchase this vehicle. Same exact...to the penny...amount I got for my 2009 C2S PDK that I bought in 2012 and sold in 2020. Have to admit, only car I have missed after selling it.

Received check for $355.20 yesterday and have no idea how they arrived at that amount based on what others have reported... not that I'm ungrateful.
Bought my 2009 997.2 C2 PDK from a doctor friend eight years ago with 15K miles, now has 31K.
