Well, I was planning to drive my car today but...
It was a nice day, today. So, opened the garage door, unplugged the battery tender for my 911 and surprise!
A flat tire! At least it was noticed while at home.
Oh well , I guess I will plug it tomorrow morning and try again. I don't track it ( mostly country roads) so I think a plug is fine for me.
I guess I am relatively lucky. I have had this car for 13 years and this is my second flat. With less tread left, I guess this is bound to happen.
The first time this happened the tires were so worn I simply replaced them all. I do expect to get some more life from the current set.
I have plugged several all season tires before without any problems but never a summer UHP tire.
Has anyone had problems plugging an UHP tire?

So long as the hole/plug is in the tread area (not the on or near the sidewall) it will be fine to plug (also add a patch on the inside if possible). I've put 10,000 miles on a 997 rear UHP tire like that. No worries at all.

I plugged the tire today. It was a bit difficult but i got it done. The hole was between tread blocks and had a small brad in it. This made pushing the plug in difficult despite my reaming the hole a few times. Anyway, hopefully it holds. At this point it is not leaking.
Thanks for all of the responses.
