You may have underpaid, can’t know without comparing condition.

For these cars you can’t reference median or average prices as anything but a general gauge, since condition varies so much. Just read posts on here or look at cars in the wild and you’ll quickly notice how treatment differs wildly. I looked at more than 20 cars when buying my 911 nearly 10 years ago and focusing primarily on price would have been stupid.

A car driven in salt, or left outside, not maintained (or maintained incorrectly), tracked heavily, or left to dry rot in a dusty garage “started once a month” vs a well maintained vehicle… easy +/-33% value gap. Not to say different treatment is bad btw, in fact beating on a Porsche could be fun, but looking at pricing alone and using as a gauge for “over” or “under” paying is a recipe for poor decisions.

Congratulations Rob911 and welcome to the 911 club. From the sound of it, looks like you bought a solid car. I bought mine 4 years ago and it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. I predicted 4 years ago that the 997.2 will be a very sought-after car and I was right! I've been tempted to sell mine considering the crazy high prices the dot 2 has gone but in the end, she wins my heart and still remain in my garage. Enjoy your new 911!

Rob, Congrats on the purchase!! You're going to love it. It sounds like it's spec'd similar to my car,,except for the seats.
I've only got the 12 way standard ventilated seats (don't even remember what the official name is anymore
I've owned the car since 2012 (2011 C2s) and it's still a kick to drive. I don't put a ton of miles on it, but I take the car everywhere,
Home Depot, golf course, food store, you name it. The car does it all. It practical, has great outward visibility, is happy to putter
around town, but really rips when asked. Every entrance/exit ramp is an event and even driving at 7/10ths.
Best of luck with your new ride,
Bill

Thanks guys! Appreciate the kind words and validation that my decision was the right one. I’m waiting to take delivery this week which will feel like forever lol. A proper intro will be needed and hope to learn much from everyone here.
