@toddkloots spelled out the easiest DIY to get this done with the Foxwell NT530. I also have the NT530 with the Porsche software and it is easy to use, intuitive, and not very expensive. $170 on Amazon
Amazon Amazon

As stated, it's a 30 second DIY with the Foxwell unit and will also do service resets on our cars and a ton of other stuff. Worthwhile investment IMHO

I have only had the FoxWell NT530, so nothing to compare it against, but I do like the tool & has done the few thing I have needed.

LOL, ok ive done it myself with my foxwell NT530, it takes 30 seconds or less. No windows OS to deal with. Take it to Porsche, it will be $300. The NT530 will code lots of different things on a 997, and also reset service reminders. You seem to act like you know what you are talking about... you are the one taking your car to the shop for service. what i said is all 100% accurate.

Taking it to an indy, not a dealer.
Will also get a DME printout (Windows OS device required, right?) and am happy to support an independent shop.
You are splitting hairs and making assumptions, not me.
LOL backatcha'.

Recently added a Getty Design wing and trying to code out spoiler. Followed directions above with my Foxwell but at the end it asked me to enter a date. I’m probably just an idiot, but for the life of me couldn’t enter a date in the format it wanted (kept giving me an invalid format message). Anyone experience this?

Thanks so much.
use durameteric pro or foxwell 530

go into the REAR MODULE (coding)

make sure to TAKE A PHOTO of all the rear module settings (dont rely on any backup feature - they dont work alot of the time) - and change the rear spoiler settings. it is reasonably intuitive - as the rear spoiler settings are labeled.

Be sure to check the threads here + youtube if you want 'exact'.
