2011 997.2 Targa 4S Manual price check
#16
Was looking for a .2 4S manual coupe and a Targa dropped into the market. It was priced right back in late February 2020 and the buyer was a stand up guy so I took the plunge. After 3 years I have rediscovered the joy of nearly open roof motoring (my first four wheeled ride was a Fiat X1/9)!
Sure values have soared, but with a 997.2 manual you can count on the rarity and analogue driving experience to sustain reasonable long term demand.
Go for a test drive and see for yourself what it feels like.

Manual rightfully brings a big premium.
A manual with those specs is an $80k+ car (transacted) all day long.
What is the listing price of the exact specs you mentioned (with manual)? $90k+?

Makes sense. You’ll find many price estimates on here are lowball vs market reality. Of course it is possible to find “below market” prices but it’s often for “below market” condition cars. Usually better to pay a fair value for a great car up front than deal with catch-up expenses/headaches later for cars like these.
