Slightly Belated Post - new 997.2 GTS in PTS Riviera Blue!
I was a little late in posting this one (had her now for the last 6 weeks) but have been away travelling overseas for half that time.
I picked up this absolute stunner last month - a 2011 997.2 Carrera GTS in PTS Riviera Blue! As far as I am aware, this is the only PTS 997.2 GTS ever delivered to Australia and is quite possibly the only Riviera Blue 997.2 as well in the country, This GTS has only had 2 owners from new, the last owner had it for 8 years in a private collection and only moved it on to buy a 997.1 GT2.
Only has 18,000 km (~11,000 miles) from new. Compared to my 991.1 GTS, the sound is disappointing (the 991.1 sounds like a proper screaming race car) but both 991.1 and 997.2 GTS have their respective charms.
I wonder how many other PTS 997.2 GTS cars there are out there? My Instagram handle if you want to see more of this GTS is @ebitda_911

To the OP: Forgetting engine/exhaust sound, as the 991 has a 'sound symposer' and the 997 does not, can you please expand on your perceived driving differences between the two cars? Driving dynamics, steering response/feel, engine performance.

To be 100% fair, I have not driven the 997.2 GTS long enough to come up with a definitive conclusion. But I can provide the following, which is also based on my old 997.2 C2 experience
- 997.2 GTS is definitely more 'raw' as you all know. The 991.1 GTS is more comfortable for the long road trip but probably not as engaging or fun as the 997.2 GTS
- The hydraulic steering in the 997.2 is something that is more alive vs the electric steering. That been said, the 991.1 GTS really does feel pretty damn close to the 997.2
- Performance of both cars seem pretty similar. But the 991.1 does feel more like the lux limo when you plant your foot down (not sure why but it just does) and you do not realise how fast you are going in it
- Definitely more tyre roar in the 997.2 GTS - these have the N rated Bridgestones vs the Pirelli P Zeros on my 991.1 GTS. I wonder if it is purely the choice of tyre that contributes to this?
- The visibility in the 997.2 is better than the 991.1 - it is that fishbowl effect
Overall, while I need to spend more time with the 997.2 GTS to come up with a more clear cut comparison, I do love both the 991.1 and 997.2 generations. Both cars will be keepers and appreciating investments too hopefully in time! It was my initial experience with the 997.2 C2 for 10 months that really made me fall in love with this generation and I knew I had to get a GTS version - while I do really respect and am in awe of the GT cars, they are not really for me.

It must be the lighting perhaps? Definitely Riviera Blue from the spec sheet I got from Porsche. Here are some other photos that perhaps show it better.

Thanks for the link! So based on that rating, Riviera Blue is really rare as it got 5 buckets?!?!
Without going through all the posts on the 997 page, how many other cars are there in this colour? I did look at the GTS specific details on another post and it seems there is only one other GTS in the USA in Riviera Blue. There is your C4S so yeah maybe it is uber rare! Such a shame as it is so stunning in real life, but also great since it isn't something you see every day (or month or even year!)

Mine - blush - is a wrap but fortunately a perfect match for Riviera Blue
