Thank you all for your interest and the positive response and I thank all of you who bought a unit!
I have to admit that I am positively overwhelmed by the response :-)
To put it in perspective: As of now I sold twice as many units in one day than I sold of V1 in total! And that was unexpected.
In simple words At this moment I have only a handful of units left. and I will very soon be running out of the first batch of units I pre-produced.

So if you want one soon, please make your decision quickly.
To be fair to everyone: I fulfill orders based on when I get paid, not when someone told me they are interested.

Unfortunately one part has a 2 week delivery time.
I just ordered a new batch of these parts, but after I'm sold out, I won't have anything to ship until the middle of November.

At this point, please check with me if I still have units in stock before sending me any money please

About the 987 - Yeah that’s a really good question.

My understanding is that – for cost savings and logistics - Porsche used as many common components between the 997 and 987 as possible.

And why would they create a different light switch or circuit? That wouldn’t make any sense.

please compare your lightswitch (especially the connector in the back) with the ones in the pictures in my installation manual

If they look the same, we are in good shape. But at the end there's only way to be sure ....

Seems to be the same, 997 part number. I ordered 2, so we’ll see when they get here for sure but I think we’re OK. Will let you know. Bigger market!

Installed mine today. No fuss, no muss installation, although getting the proper keyed connectors would be a real plus! Getting the ribbon cable properly seated in the headlight switch took a few times before it finally settled in. After that, NBD! Thanks Christopher for a great idea and product!!!!

thanks for the feedback. Yeah I need to get a 3D printer and need to learn CAD design to make upgraded connectors.
It’s definitely on my to-do list for this project.

I would guess that most of you will install the device over the weekend. I’d love to get more feedback.
For the connector that goes into the light switch. I know it’s a tight fit, but usually with the “angled approach” - from my manual - it should go in without too much resistance.

And I’d definitely like to hear the feedback from the 987 owner(s)(

I gotta believe that the male/female counterparts exist from some manufacturer. I did not look closely at the plug on the end of the harness that connects into the switch, but a male/female pair ought to be available and allow you to avoid the CAD modeling/3D printing.

Overall, it's a great product! Thaks for taking the time to design and build it!! Well done!

Not sure what’s going on, but I can’t get them to work in either one of my cars. Installation seems pretty straight forward. So unless I’m wearing my invisible dunce cap, something’s amiss.

Edit: Invisible Dunce Cap confirmed. I was being too gentle with the connector to the headlight switch assembly. Once I got it properly seated, it worked as intended on the both the 997.1 and the 987.2. Only issue I have now is the sticky tape holding down the sensor is an unwilling participant in the last step of installation.

I can confirm this works on a 987.2 Cayman as well. Installation is exactly the same.

Yeah, it took me a bunch of tries to get the connector seated correctly, even with the tilting trick in the instructions.

My sticky tape didn't hold very well either, which is weird because it looks like the 3M stuff and that's usually pretty good. I think I should've cleaned the dash first with some alcohol: I did that and then replaced the tape with a small square of that silicone Nano Tape double-sided stuff. That worked well.
