OEM vs Aftermarket shift ****
I’m due for a new shift **** and am torn between the OEM options and the aftermarket ones. Curious to see what RL thinks…
I have a factory short shift kit and am not going to swap out the whole shifter. I’ve toyed around with the idea of changing the cables, but for now what I really need is a new ****. My leather is worn and the silver cap is starting to chip too.
I’m leaning towards either OEM stock shifter or a FF delrin shifter in silver. I don’t have any carbon trim in the car so I’d get a regular leather OEM replacement.

Post what you are looking for. I have the Numeric as it gives you height options... I opted for stock position... and provides metal-to-metal parts with ball bearings resulting is a good feel. Stock is all plastic. I am happy with the Numeric albeit an expensive unit. Its about feel.
Peace

Nate! It's a bit ironic (?) installing a lightweight stratified birch/ash wood **** (created to honor the 917 balsa wood ****- which was created solely to save weight) and then adding internal weights for a better shift feel.
Maybe not ironic...but certainly counterintuitive.

I have a factory short shifter and added Function First cable ends and their Shift-Right Solution, results were much nicer in terms of feel and gear engagement. I had a Raceseng Circuit Sphere in a previous car and put one in the Carrera. It weighs just over a half pound and seems to provide another bit of direct engagement. It's fractionally taller than the stock shift **** and falls nicely to hand, also doesn't get hot in the sun.

Everytime you drive your car you touch the steering wheel and shift ****, might as well touch something nice.

If I had bought it to save weight and then added weight to it, that would indeed be ironic.
