I would bet that not one body shop will guarantee color match, and if they possibly do, they will need the car to confirm.. not saying it can’t be done, but it takes time, skill, and the willingness to do so. That’s going to be your difficult part. That usually gets very expensive as well, just the sound of Amelia island is tune consuming and costly.
I agree to drop off the car - when doing bumpers they usually blend the clear of the fenders. Take a look:

And while I haven’t sprayed that particular color, it’s usually easier to match than a silver or light metallic.
Panel match painting is an art, I envy the ones who can do it, but realize they don’t get it right the first , second or sometimes third time, and if it works the first time with silver, you better go play the lottery that night.

I would rather end up with a blemish than a mismatched panel , any day ! Have a spot repair done with the panel on the car . Mismatched bumper covers make a car look like it spun and crashed !

There is a bumper plug seller in the correct color for the front holes . May be in Panorama Mag ? Not sure where I spotted it ? Future owners may need the holes ?

Mismatch paint should be a thing of the past. I remember the excuse used to be that there is a flex additive on the bumper application. We would take the car to a gas station at night or an overcast day from 30 feet away or more to judge how well the guys eye was with shading. Most half decent shops can get even a faded metallic paint dead on these days. The mystery of how the different stages were laid from the factory is over.

Matching factory orange peel is still quite a talent. If your are near Raleigh NC I can point you to three places that are good, punctual and cheap is another story.

Should would and could, always sounds easy until you try, it’s not that easy. Especially with 20 year old paint that may have been resprayed at some point and is faded from years of exposure. Everyone should own their own business, and panel paint metallic colors, the world would be more understanding of how easy it is.

I get how difficult it is to match certain colors, but aren't their computers that get the precise mix/match in this day and age? Thankfully, I have plain black and had my rear bumper resprayed a few years ago for something similar to OP's situation; looks perfect.

solid colors are way easier to match, metallic is a whole other animal . It can be done but not consistently . You may or may not like the result ? No turning back once its sanded and prepped .

Default Repair and full repaint of bumpers

If it were my 911, I’d pull both bumpers off, use gas door as my color to match to, fully repair and repaint both bumpers

have them professionally protected with PPF, and enjoy for decades to come 👍

That is likely the route I will go. Was just contemplating having the full rear bumper resprayed or just the damaged corner. The front has the holes as well as a good scuff mark from where the license plate holder rubbed against the bumper from vibration as well as the inevitable stone chips and road rash.

The whole bumper will be painted, as blending clear coat is not recommended with a repair like this. If the damage isn’t within 9” or so of an adjacent painted panel, the blend is easier to do. The closer it gets the it gets more difficult.
