I'll never get it because you don't have a point.

Porsche is in the business of making profits, big ones. They'll load up the GT3 so they can charge more. And you'll be able to order losts of options because they'll make more profits.

Default Of course they are, didn't your inside source tell you?

You're way behind on your reading, but never mind. Is it so tough for you that Porsche might actually be launching the GT3 early and confusing you with "extras" on the car that might, or might not, be offered in production? Did anyone mention the cars shown as having AWD or did your inside knowledge tell you that also?

Or are you the supplier of 18" wheels for the GT3???

JLJ,

it doesn't really matter what they are testing the car with - perhaps there are new but unfinished GT3 wheels on the way, or perhaps it was part of the effort to disguise the prototype. In any case, if the GT3 did come with those wheels in the photos, I would replace them in a second with something lighter.

Did you get out of bed on the wrong side this morning?

Dude, relax. FWIW, "Excellence" magazine (usually a reliable source) states that the 997 GT3 will have "...Larger 19-inch wheels, perhaps in a multi- or 10 spoke style, will almost certainly be standard fare. (Excellence May 2005 pg 96)"

Also their "spy" pic of the 997 GT3 has...a rear window wiper and the sport chrono "wart" in the photo on pg 97.

Oh, BTW, the GT2/GT3 board also has a thread discussing the "Excellence" article.

Of course, there is a possibility that it's all "camo"...

But, why be so insulting? You have some serious anger issues...

But it's all good...Have fun with your 2004 996 GT3!

Looks very wide for a GT3. Looks like a wide body car. Could it be a 997TT with covered air intakes?

Is it my imagination or is that a turbocharger hiding under the rear skirt of that first picture?
