Went to see my car today - WooHoo
My car arrived late today and I went to see it shortly after it was taken off the truck. The car made a speedy uneventful trip across the Atlantic and up the coast UNTIL it was taken off the truck when the left rear tire caught on something and popped it in a big way. Fortunately the rim received no damage.
This is my first Porsche and I could not possibly capture in text my feelings of excitement at first seeing that big yellow butt sticking out from behind one of the lifts (my car, not Homer Simpson).
Anyhow, the CO has yet to arrive...I am really really really hoping to get the car Saturday,...and if so Irene (my wife) and I are going to take a nice break-in ride up to Vermont.
I'll show a few pics we took,...unfortunately I didn't have a fluorescent light filter with me so the colors are a little weird.
Here she is, fresh off the truck:
Here's Alfie showing me the way into my car...
In the cockpit for the first time,...note ****-eating grin and speed yellow belts. Sport wheel feels nice. I'm still seeing the instruments - the image must have burned itself onto my retina.
I had no idea that the underside of a 911 looked like a F1 car.

Ben - Thanks Buddy!
Chris - Classic 19" hiding under there...those rears are 305/30! And no X51, no PCCB - I've got to have some things for my next car right?
Rob - Thanks man!

Congratulations.
A few thoughts regarding your Vermont trip.
1. There is snow in the 10 day forcast, significant accumulation.
2. AWD/PSM can't compensate for low profile summer tires when the compound gets cold/hard. Please be careful.
Best of luck and enjoy

Speed Yellow is amazing. I wish I 'd had the stones to order it, but, no.
Congrats - it's beautiful, even with all the shipping wrap on it.
