I got P-Zeros on my '06 C2S, I only have 1600 (yes, only 400 left before I start shredding it) miles on my baby, so I really can't comment yet.

I turned 900 on mine yesterday. I'm considering 1,000 miles to be the broken in magic number.

By the book baby, by the book: First 2,000 miles under 4200 RPM. In S. CA. 400 miles goes by pretty fast...well, at least between 9AM and 5PM...

My neighbor is a retired Porsche mechanic. I mentioned Porsche's imposed 4200 rpm cap for the first 2000 miles. He laughed about that. (Walter's also German with a very thick accent). We both know that none of that matters to the service life of the engine. Been driving Porsches since 1974. 90% of them 911s.

Of course, this topic has been beaten like an old horse many times...

Funny you should say that,...I just turned 900 and have specified 1000 miles to be the pretty-broken-in mark. So, in less than 100 miles I will experience my first redlineseseses.
I was told when I picked the car up that for the first 1000 miles to be good, the second 1000 miles have fun but avoid long wide-open highway runs, then 2000+ do things to get arrested.

Coochas, let us know when you hit the 1,000. Weather is turning against me here which will slow the miles accumulation but it probably will for you up there also. I'm around 950 after today's adventures.

Now just a minute. I resemble that remark.

Michelin PS2 305-30-19 Rears. Turned 1020 miles and have not (knowingly and intentionally) exceeded 4200 RPM

P-Zeros, Dan. Touched 5K a couple of times, but mostly not above 4500 rpms--it's hard to do! 450 miles after two weeks
