Original Equipment Tires
If you are riding on your original equipment tires, what brand/model are they? I'm curious to see what tires are the most popular on the pile at Zuffenhausen. I'm also wondering if there may be a correlation between tire and wheel style. But first, tire brand/model:

Michi Pilot stock on 19" Classic rims, C4S (305 in the rear, that's more rubber than John Holmes ever needed).

I could be wrong but different 997 models seem to be coming with different tires.
I'd like to hear from other 2006 997 Carrera 4 Cab owners what theirs came with. Mine has the Bridgestone Potenza RE050s. Seems like the "S"'s are getting the Michelins or Pirellis?
Thanks.

My Nov. '05 build 997 S has Michellins as did all the other S and non-S models
at 2 dealers in Maryland where I test drove and received mine. Then it moved to Bridgestone RE050 a few months later. I think it's a cycling of the different brands for the assembly lines, I bet you can't control that but I could be wrong.

MANY years ago you could not request a particular tire (I know, I tried). During several of the 996 years you could specify a model. Today we're back to what ever is on the top of the heap when Rolf is mounting rims...

I've got the P-Zero with my C2S. I suspect the Michelin is the better tire and will probably switch to that when mine wear out. Meanwhile, I am fine with the P-Zero's.
