I just want to know if it’s me, or there are others like me on this board having issues when the significant others takes possession of your 997 and you end up with their ride.

My wife can't drive a stick so there's no issues to worry about. But if she did, I wouldn't let her drive it anyways considering she can't parallel park with an automatic! She said that it would be too scary driving the 996tt.

Not only does she.....she tracks it as well and has ordered me to pick up another car (GT3) this summer so she doesn't have to share on track days! I'm the first to admit, I am one lucky guy. Oh yeah, she loves sports also

Unhappy

My wife has always driven my 993 coupe....which is why the rims are rashed - all around! Now I'm in a sticky situation as my 997 is ONVESL and due to dock this weekend, meaning I should get the car by month's end. Alas, I have to leave home for work a week or so later and won't be able to drive it again till August 1st. I'm faced with the predicament of either letting her drive it a couple of times a week to maintain the battery and prevent the tyres from becoming useless, or else taking a crash course in long-term car storage. I always wanted to be able to luxuriate in the break-in process and this just turned out to be bad timing.

Yup, she's a great driver. But she doesn't go out of her way to drive it, because it's my car and she doesn't want to bear the responsability should something happen.

I have no problem with my wife driving the Porsche. I encourage it. She's not great with the clutch, but there's only one way to get better. Besides, I like to have some wine with dinner and then she drives home.

But for now we share the same car so have to go in different run groups and she is "tired of being in the slow group"

Why do you think I keep her in a seperate run group at the track?

Dell, I think she might have a weight advantage over you. She's probably hauling around less ***, I mean less mass than you.
