Actually, there's one more possibility. We could both be right. (Both of us being wrong is not possible. )

By that I mean we both have the same dials if your car came with the standard S ones. So it's a little like me saying po-tay-toe and you saying po-tah-toe.

The white dials I believe match Carrara White in color - there's no question about them being white when looking at them.

The aluminum look dials, which is what I believe the standard S dials are called, have a frosted reflective surface appearance that appears very light in color (as in that PCNA pic you provided) but gradually transition to a black face as the ambient lighting goes dark.

I think they're an option on the base 997 car for those who like this unique transition look.

That's my opinion. .... I could be wrong.

Well, I'm glad that's not your car in the pic, 'cuz I was using that pic to ridicule that look in this thread:

Your cocoa interior looks good the way it is, imo. I meant the way you describe it. You'll need to provide pics of course for me to say for sure.
Oh, I presume you'll need help in posting pics? See the help section for instructions.

Mass enlightenment for me, I had no idea about that thread. And now I know that there is a leather wraped version of what I have, that would be nice. I will get some pics after the next cleaning and thanks for the assist.

If the .02 seconds is all you see in a difference between an S & non S model then you made the correct decision to buy a non S. I see a lot more difference than a 0-60 time.
If an S model is affordable then that is why I would get.
