Default New Lapis C2S w/Aerokit!!! PICS!

Finally picked up the new 2007 C2S today after about 3 months of waiting. It was definitley a very long wait, but well worth it. I'm totally blown away by the car, I'm only 25 but I've been obsessed with cars my entire life and this car is exactly what I've always wanted and looks better than I could have imagined. The lapis blue is awesome, I think it's a really unique color. I don't have too many comments on the driving yet since I only put about 30 miles on it today, but I can definitely tell you that the PSE sounds fantastic. I actually wouldn't mind if it was a little bit louder, but it's still a great sound. I haven't even turned on the stereo yet, the engine sound is fine for me. While I do plan on sticking to some sort of a break in period (in general), it only took me about 5 seconds after pulling off the dealers lot before I broke the 4k rpm threshold, oh well...

This will be my everyday driver, I got the car to drive so I'm going to drive it every chance that I have, even if it's just for the 3 mile commute to work. I also have a 1998 Mustang that I will keep as a backup car and I have a 1960 Austin Healey 3000, but I may sell that since I won't be driving it too much anymore and it's kind of a hassle to maintain.

I also already scraped the front lip of the aerokit 2 times, but I guess I'll just have to live with that. I'm either going to get a black GT3 lip or just not worry about it and repaint the lapis one every couple of months.

I've noticed that two of the options that I got seem to elicit either hate or love around here, but I have to say that I really love both the painted rear center console and the multifunction aluminum steering wheel, I just think they really set the interior apart from the norm.

I won't bore you all with too many other details, so here are a list of the options and several pictures. I couldn't pick the car up until around 6:30pm today and it was cloudy so the lighting was not great, but I'll be taking some more pictures on a sunny day soon. I got the car from Hendrick Porsche in Charlotte and I have to give them a huge recommendation, they were great and treated me very well. (I'm sure someone will ask me this, so I'll go ahead and tell you...MSRP was $108,365 and I paid $106k, so almost 2.5% off, not great, but not horrible)

Aerokit owners unite!!

That's one nice C2S!!!! I should have done the painted console and a few other items, but will work on these later.

I too have the crest in the headrest, but forgot to order the center cover with the script on it.

I went with the sport steering wheel seeing I will be driving the car rather than messing too much with the Bose. I'd rather listen to the 3.8 noise from the sport exhaust.

Glad you went with the K-40, this thing is great!!

Enjoy your new ride big guy!!!

Regards,
Deanski

Nice, you should lower it a bit. I'll look even better. Congrats

I love Lapis Blue, the car looks awesome. When I was 25 I had a VW Scirocco. You paid 102k, my VW was 7k new! Take good care of it and drive safe.

Great looking car! Best of luck with it.

But, may I ask - did you have the carpets cleaned by the same guys that tend the fairways at Augusta?

Congrats on new 997S and enjoy it in good health.

You must be doing something really right at 25, as I was just driving a suzuki sidekick when I was 25.

Congratulations on a beautiful combination of options! I, too, was fortunate to be buying Porsches early in life,--when you can really appreciate it more! (My first new 911S when I was 22--but they were a LOT less expensive then!)

close...real estate I basically blew my first years work on this car....I guess I can get away with it at this age since I dont have a wife and kids to worry about. It sure gave me the motivation to work harder! Business is good and i am very fortunate.
