Default Video mount for 997

Hi,
I have an ioPort camera mount from my Boxster days, but I'm looking to mount it in my 997 Coupe for a DE event next Friday. I don't have a roll cage, is there any option that would work? I wouldn't mind doing something like what they do for Top Gear (look like little cameras suctioned to the windscreen).

Thanks for the help,
STSanford

http://www.stickypod.com/ a friend has that for when he goes offroading in his truck. Its like what they do for topgear with the suction cups.

Here's an alternative rig:

I have used it with my HD minicam. it handles the average weight stuff well. when it starts to get heavy it tends to bounce around a bit.

edgy, not bad, i might have to look into that. been wanting to get one for my HD camera but the stickypod is too bulky for my taste.

I went to Sammy's and picked up a window suction cup with an uni ball. It fits just behind the drivers seat on the drivers window. I can see the tach and the digital speedometer as well as the front of the car and left rear view if you want to. I am only having problems with contrast and brightness. I have played with the fixed settings and am having some luck. The only down side is the camera is upside down. If you are downloading on the computer you can re invert the image; I on the other hand, have a small Sharp TV that will invert the image for me and it seems to work well. Good Luck...

if you mount the camera outside, some of these suction cup mount systems come with safety straps that you put inside the door jam or something to help secure it.
