That is great...what a beauty BTW.

Dr. G., I noticed that all of your vehicles listed in your signature are noted as "gone." Did you trade them all in on the piano?!?

LOL. Niiiice.

Yes, good idea, it would work great on my Ebonized Model A (smaller room). Dust and pet hair shows less on ebony.

No, I sold the 993TT to pay for my wedding. My wife convinced me that we "needed" a sedan, so I've been driving an A6 for the past few years. My lease on the A6 is up in february and I will be replacing it with the 997tt. I'll probably lease something like an Accord, Camry, Maxima, etc. for a daily driver/family car.

I've had the cali duster a while and I think it works ok if the car is just a little bit dusty. I'm always concerned that large dirt particles will scratch the paint (and probably has done so). My latest approach is blow off the dust with an air compressor (probably throwing oil on the car with that since I have no oil trap) then microfiber towels with the Mcguires detail spray does the trick. Once that duster gets anything abrasive in it I suspect it gets trapped by the wax or whatever the duster was treated with. I'm considering trashing the cali-duster alltogether.

Check out the Audi A3.

I did, actually, but the lease rates on the A3 are higher than the A4. The dealer told me that it was because the A3 was more of a "niche" car.

Try gently washing it in warm water to get safer uses out of it. Also just get two and rotate them, use new one for trunk and top, demote older one to wheels and lower doors. They're cheap enough to toss after not too long. Oh, maybe, resist dusting the car except on special occasions.

I have found that the dirtier they get the better they work. I have never washed them and never will.

Use mine all the time also. Just stay away from the Oxo duster from Autopia - it is loaded with paraffin and no matter how long it cures, it leaves streaks. I tossed mine in favor of the Cali Duster.

Phil - if you actually drive you car above 40 MPH, most of the "garage queen dust" will be blown off the car!
