I think it's starting to become the norm. Sadly.

I was swayed to buy my 997S launch car on launch day after I realized I got the mats for free - they forgot to add the $115 charge on the launch car stickers.

I see the Lloyd mats for $140 also. Where are they cheaper? (Just curious, I already have the $140 Porsche mats. Was thinking of another pair for the winter, but not for another $140!)

Suncoast Porsche has the base Lloyds mats at $ 101. With the Carrera S script ($27.) and the contrasting piping ($20.) it came to $148. + shipping. They are much plusher than the factory mats and look stunning in grey with red piping and script. Now if can only get around to installing my Alacantera steering wheel, shifter, and E-brake....

I agree with this, get Lloyd mats or cocomats, both are far better than factory mats.

I have loyd mats and hate them they look like PIMP mobile carpet!! Yes they look always like new so the quality is good if you like to drive without shoes these mats are perfect as well.

Keeping the OEM mat looking like new...
I keep one of those clear plastic protective mats only over the drivers side, I don't use a front but one of the small ones for the rear, as it fits perfectly right over the wear area. The protective clear mat keeps the factory ones looking like new and they catch water, mud and dirt while preventing wear and can be removed in 2 seconds.
