Only on 997's with manual trannys, they are good, but not as strong as the Getrag unit. Sonny.

Yes. It remains German.

What's wrong with the Aisin tranny? Haven't heard too many reports on bad trannies on the 997.

If I'm paying 130k for a German sports car, I'd like at least the key elements (engine/tranny/diff)to be from the Fatherland.

Aisin is one of the worlds best transmission builder. Aisin, ZF and Getrag are the leader in the Transmission world. I don't mind to have my 911 manual transmission build in Japan.

Aisin built their 10 millionth manual trans in July of 2006... so, they should be able to handle the task. :-)
