Default Techart dilemma -- OEM lobster forks or Techart Formula IIs?

Everybody: I just had Techart side skirts and front lip installed on my black/black 997S. Now my OEM lobster forks look too small…even though I have H&R lowering springs. Perhaps this because the Techart pieces extend the width of the car by ¾ inch or more, making the OEM wheels look to “inset.” I could either fix this with spacers or replace the wheels with Techart Formula IIs. One option is less than 5% the cost of the other. Anyone with Techart skirts and OEM lobster forks who’ve had this dilemma?

I have to decide by this evening in order to take advantage of ever so slight discount pricing on the wheels.

Thanks for your input. You guys (and gals) are great.

If you like the look and if you're not worried about performance issues go with the TechArt...but they will be very heavy especially compared to the OEM "lobsters" - the "lobsters" are the lightest 19 inch wheel Porsche offers.

Default dont do it

your car looks great with the factory wheels, I know what I am about to suggest is also heavy but have you thought about a nice set of 19 Rufs? Will need spacers as well but would look amzing on your car IMO.... personally not a fan of the rim you posted but if you like it thats all that matters....

I sure like the look of the Techart wheels. Does anyone know the difference in weight?

There doesn't seem to be enough design in the Techart II's to warrant going with them in my opinion. I think if you got them many people wouldn't even realize you had aftermarket wheels. They'd probably think you had the old 996 turbo wheels.

fwiw, I like the Techarts less than I like the Lobster Forks, & I just sold my Lobsters. To my eye, the Techarts (and the same is true for me about the RUFs) look blingy & heavy. Not my cup of tea. I'd go with spacers & keep the Lobsters before I'd do the Techarts.

Why not just go for the spacers for now. If your not happy buy the wheels later. They will go on sale again.

Thank you all for your well-considered comments. I take them all to heart. I'll be the first to admit that the current poll results are surprising, as I assumed most everyone liked Techarts better. I'm as confused as ever, but there are far worse problems in the world.

For the sake of further confusion, clarification, and then again, confusion, let's see those pics, Speed Doc!

Again, I appreciate everyone's input.
