Default HP/TQ gains from mods.

I have a 05' carrera non s with Fabspeed mufflers and cold air kit. Next Wed. I get Suncoast sport headers and Fabspeed 200 cell sport cats. I'm thinking of doing a before and after dyno and I am curios to know what type of gains I might see from these mods?

Do the dyno on the same day for both runs and then you will know. You might gain 5-10hp and torque but you will get a better sounding car!

That should sound great, and you will be impressed with the quality of the headers.

+1 on doing the Dyno the same day.

The only problem is that some believe that the DME needs time with the mods to "reprogram" itself to take full advantage.

This is my setup with evo air box + GIAC flash and plenum. Very happy with the results and it sounds great.

Folks on here would love to see what real world results you see on your car with the mods you mentioned.

It's tough to swallow the dyno numbers some mfr's are using to help sell their products.

To get an idea what it will sound like when you are done, just click on the bottom of my signature.

So the results are in! First of all I would like to thank everyone at Paddock Motor Sports in Haverstraw N.Y. All the work was performed by them. I highly reccommend them. They did a before and after dyno. The before dyno was my carrera with fabspeed cold air intake and mufflers my max hp was 264.3 and my max tq was 271.6 after they installed my fabspeed sport cats and my suncoast headers my max hp 293.4 and max tq 267.9 so WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THOSE NUMBERS???

It's not noticeable compared to the hp gain.

Tq not noticable but what about hp? How do you notice the hp gain other than on the dyno sheet.

Congratulations. First on getting it done and posting the results. Thanks. Second, you should be very happy with the hp results. Super. The loss in peak torque is unexpected but may be a non issue. Can you post the graph? There could be a loss of peak torque but an overall gain throughout the rpm range. Are there no rpm's where T is higher than origional? Really interesting. Please follow up if you can. Gerry

Torque loss not surprising when you open up headers.

I was there when fast lane got his results, and can confirm these numbers.

By the way, fast lane, how do you like your alignment? As you saw, I had my car done right after yours, and I have to say, I'm pretty pleased with the way mine turned out.
