so here is my question
is $75.5K a fair asking price on my car?

We can't answer that question for a variety of reasons, but here's a good way of determining what a good selling price is for your car. Take your car to at least two different Porsche Dealers and tell them that you want to sell your car to them, and what are they willing to pay you for it. This will set the wholesale value for your car. BTW don't be surprised if the prices they offer you are nearly identical. In my area Dealers go strictly by what price the cars bring at auctions. You can then multiply that price by 1.15 and that would be a good selling price for your car.

First of all, I like the look of your car...

I've been watching prices lately with the hopes of putting a 997 in the garage soon (I'm a previous 996 Cab owner). I am confident in saying that 75k is way to aggressive for an '06, and I live in SoCal. If I were you, I would list for low 70s and be ready for high 60s. I'm guessing the dealer offered you 60k or less for the car? Consistent with OZCAV's comment, I've seen CPO cars at or below your "potential" asking price.

I wish you well in selling the car. BTW, I agree that the S looks off, but many non rennlisters probably won't notice.
