My guess is that I won't get one on my next 911.
I wouldn't think that it's a problem with the installation. The edges of my clear bra are tucked under the hood. The headlights, side markers and fog lights were removed so that the plastic could be tucked behind them also. Even the headlight washers have the clear bra tucked around and in.

I think that's the diff with a custom install.

On my e63 I'm considering getting a clear bra but I don't think I'll go custom. I know that the bra edges will run close to each panel edge and be visible but I've seen that type of install and don't think I'll mind.

Many thanks, but NY is too far from northern VA.
I need to find someone close to the Springfield, VA area.

Thanks Premier Protection Films Intl for the very useful information.

I have 3M film on my car that is 18 months old and the film now looks "dull". What products do you recommend to take care of this problem? Thanks a lot.

It's hard to say what is going on without seeing it in person. It could be a bad batch, it could be using a non-coated film, etc. You should take it back to the installer and see what they say - it should be covered under warranty.

Thanks. Unfortunately the car was bought from out-of-state and I don't know the installer. It doesn't look very bad, but since waxing the car (without waxing the bra), the bra in front now looks "relatively dull" and stands out more. Was hoping you can suggest some products to care for or maintain the look of the bra.

Thanks to the forumers here, I had Premier to install the film on my car. Best money spent, period.

I also agree that the installer is the most important factor. It is a work of art, especially for the custom install that virtually wraps the car.

Since nowadays there are so much debris on the road, please consider it a must do if we love our cars.

With best regards,
- Alex, 07 Artic Silver 997S.

Default Cleaning waterspots off clearbra

I went to a P-car DE this past weekend in San Diego. A skidpad was setup using water and some liquid soap. By the end of the exercise, my car was pretty splattered with drops of dirty water. After washing my car a few days later, I see waterspots (or mineral spots) on the Ventureshield clearbra. On the areas without clearbra, the paint washed clean - no problem.

I tried using Plexus to clean the clearbra, but the spots are still visible. How can I remove these spots/stains on the clearbra? Should I try vinegar or alcohol? What about a paint cleaner, like Zaino All-in-one, or claying?

TIA for any advice.

Clear bra novice here. If you put a clear bra over on a black car, do you still have an issue with swirl marks? I.e., does the clear bra scratch just like the clear coat?
