What loaner car your dealer offered when service your 997?
Yesterday, I was at my dealer for a 1) first year service; 2) four wheel alingment and balance; 3) replace the right rear PS2 due to a nail in it; on my 2007 997S.
My dealer service department gave me a Chevy Malibu for loaner (a white one with 25K miles on it.) When I drove the Malibu out, my sales saw me in it and said, "They gave you this, huh?"
Today, my wife brought her Mercedes C230 to her dealer. Similar service -- a Service A plus replacing two rear tires. And she called me and teased, "Mercedes gave me a 2008 Mercedes C300 as a loaner."
What did your dealer offer as loaner at service your 997?
Regards,

The one time I left the car they gave me a Cayenne. I thought that was nice.

Nothing with this dealer, and it's not an issue. I have plenty of other cars. Years ago a friend of mine had a dealership,--when I dropped off my 68 Karmann Ghia for service he gave me a late model Mercedes to drive! Now that's a deal!

I always get a POS with roll-up windows, etc. There isn't even an option to "upgrade". I guess there are one or two base Cayenne loaners, but you have to book WAY in advance (which is contrary to how servicing usually works). Silly stuff in light of the way Mercedes, Infiniti, BMW, Lexus, etc. do it.

I prefer going to my independent. More personal service, it's not on the other end of the city and it's cheaper.
Their lower labor rate (no "free" loaners to include) more than compensates for the irritant of hitching a ride with someone.

I've had a Cayman at least twice, one Jaguar (blech, might as well have been a buick), and an Audi Q7 (very nice).
