Congrats Dave.

You got the supercar for road, track and all weather use, no excuse for tradeup for a long time.

The stock wheels is probably the weakest link here, what's your thoughts?

Congrats, Go get the turbo, Dave-- and with no reservations!

It's a SAFETY issue , the Orange will stand out even more than Speed yellow & sometimes you have to get to the hospital quickly, right?... cuz Boston drivers are ijiots! (I used to date a girl who lived in Lowell, MA. way, way back..)

Seriously, that is a brilliant spec-- the shift boot + optional gearshift trim/in leather option w/the deviating stitching is a work of art.. worth it alone. Enjoy life, you've earned it.

Beautiful! Congrats! Being out of warranty for 5 months now, I am in a tug of war whether to play it conservative and keep my car for a while, or whether to take the plunge on a new one. I am flirting with the siren call of a new GT3. Time will tell whether reason or emotion prevails!

Congratulations Dave!

Was going to make a genitalia joke... But I remember a certain picture of you that proves this just isn't true

Beautiful car Dave! Enjoy it and have in it as many treasured moments as have had in the C4S.
Happy for you.

Ha ha - yep... No need to swing that beast around anymore when you've got an RS Orange 997TT.

I'm sure we'll meet up one of these days at an AutoX or DE but I'm planning on running the Boxster this year (or so goes the plan).

No painted seat backs? I would have had to have orange seatbacks.

Great car!

Hate to lose you to the TT forum though.
Thanks. I thought about the orange seat backs but I felt it was even too orange for me.

With any luck, I'll get to see it in person one day. But you know my next question: How will you feel when the snow's up to your windshield again?! :O
Hi Chris! Thanks man.
I need to get one of my snow rims fixed or replaced. They're coming off the C4S today so I can put my summer rims on for trade in. I may need to drive a week or two on the stock TT rubber until I get the winter rim sorted out.

just keep it a long time and really put the mileage on. then the money would be well spent.

Will you still be able to use your winter set wheels?? Hope so! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the TT.

Sorry to lose you to the TT crowd

Personally I think we should merge the TT forum with the 997 forum....there's not much activity on the TT side.
This is my home and I'm not going anywhere until I get thrown out.

I think this car will stay around for a while. Seriously, stop laughing.
I like the stock wheels better IRL on my car but I might spring for some blacked out p40 or something similar down the line.

Sensational car! Congratulations on a beautiful move up!
When it comes to "rationalizing" Porsche purchases, this place might as well be "group therapy."

Hi Rob,
The GT3 is looking damn good. As I've said before, if weather was not a factor I would have to consider a GT3 over a TT.
If you trade, you'll have to get pulled over again for a new pic!

Dave- Very nice job with the options!! The car is just screaming for black wheels and I can't tell if you did it from the pictures, but the instrument surround painted orange would be fantastic!!!

Best of luck with the new toy!!!
