She's in the garage! Took it out for a while and man I can't believe how different it feels from my old C2. Absolutely freaking love the thing. It does need a better sounding exhaust however. Off to the Sharkwerks website!

Congrats - I just got mine last weekend. Good choice on specs, too!! How do you like the GT2 seats (I have them, too)?
You are 100% correct about the exhaust, too. I might be doing just the Sharkwerks crossover - still convincing the wife I "need" it.
Best of luck and enjoy the hell out of your beautiful ride!!!! Post more pics when you get time.

very classy. The white has a bit of a creamy color that makes it look more interesting than the shout-out-loud whites that you sometimes see. red calipers look more noticeable too. Great choice and good luck

Her: There is some giant box on the front porch for you.

All the good things about the 997.2 have already been said, so I won't repeat them here. Suffice it to say that I am extremely happy with the car. Here are my initial critical impressions after 24 hrs of ownership:
1. Engine is very strong, but does not rev quite as freely as my C2 did.
2. The Sport PASM on "normal" mode gives a noticeably softer ride than the stock suspension in my C2; "sport" mode is about the same.
3. Transmission feels a little mushy compared to the familiar "snick, snick" of the C2.
4. There is a high pitched whistle that accompanies the familiar flat 6 growl. (This is not unique to my car; I've heard it on another 997.2C2S as well.)
I figure that #3 (and possibly #1) may right itself after it's broken in a bit. I've ordered the Sharkwerks bypass and I'm hoping that will solve #4 but that may be wishful thinking. I don't really mind #2 all that much, as it's sort of nice to have the option but it still surprised me that "normal" takes the bumps as gracefully as it does.

Aaron, I was interested in your comment about the Sport PASM producing a softer ride than a stock C2. Did your C2 have 18's or 19's? I have struggled with the idea of ordering SPASM vs. PASM on a 997.2 C2, but was afraid that the SPASM might be too harsh for a daily driver. I would appreciate additional insight.

Thanks Chris. The seats are absolutely incredible. Still getting used to ingress/egress but MAN once you're in them they're amazing.
Yes, I can already hear the conversation I'm going to have about a week from now:
Her: There is some giant box on the front porch for you.

Uh.... oh, that must be the part that was back ordered. They said it was to replace the center muffler which had a bad weld bead. They said it would take about a week or so to get here.
