What sort of maintenance should be performed on wood trim?

A little car wax should be all you need.

Actually, you really shouldn't need to do anything aside from wiping clean. I typically used a California dash duster to "dust" and if there was anything on the trim other than dust, a damp microfiber towel.

The trim has a very heavy coat of plastic on the top side, and wax isn't really protecting anything. If you need to "shine" it up, you might use a little furniture polish, if you like.

Do you really have wood trim in your Porsche? Or is this a generic question? Just curious. Wood in a Porsche is quite rare. Most of the wood trim needs no special treatment. If it's a cab, and you leave the top down in the hot sun a lot, expect to replace the wood with leather in a few years. Otherwise, easy on the chemicals.

Dont know about the top down and the wood ruining idea. I wont be replacing mine with leather...theres too much of it. Just wipe it clean with a micro-fiber towel. Avoid all waxes and furniture polishes. It gets on the bordering leather and wont come off.

Looks beautiful.

Really don't care what anyone else thinks about it.
