Default Badge removed...what do you think?

This weekend while washing the car the towel edge caught and bent the "s" so I removed the whole badge. I am starting to like the clean look. Opinions welcomed.

Looks like the badge was redundant anyways. I like it.

I got the plate about a year after purchase and always considered removing the badge. My decision was easy on Saturday.

I think this looks sharp. Let's face it unless you have Alzheimers you should know what you;re driving, and unless you're insecure you should not need to tell other people what you;re driving.

I would add the badge back painted to match the car. Also, license plates that state the make/model of the car seem redundant to me. Since you are paying the money for a personalized tag, why not be creative, or, if you really want to spice things up choose something that no one understands just to keep them guessing. Something like -- X07T Z1A.

I'm not much of a fan of the debadged look, P-car or not. I think the script on the rear lid looks sharp and it's how a 911 should look. Totally subjective thing, so it only matters that you like it.

I don't see how leaving the factory look in tact equates to insecurity. That's such a ridiculous generalization. I suppose your other cars are all debadged as well? In fact, do you go around debadging every single product you own as a display of your security?

Sorry mang. I think it's in 'need' of something. I like the Carrera S badge on it. In Chrome would be nice, or "997" or "911".

Just say'n.

I would lose the plate and get body color badges again.

Having the model/marque on a vanity plate is obviously a matter of opinion but personally I think it is kind of silly.

That look is actually very popular,--losing the badge. I think it makes for a cleaner look. This was another near-white Carrera S at Zuffenhausen when I was with a friend picking his car up the day before I picked up mine.

Can you post before & after badge photos.

As for the vanity plate, don't like them and this one in particular makes no sense as you have removed the badge on a car that you purposely want to draw attention to the model designation.
Removing the badge can look good if the purpose is to minimize attention to detail in exchange for appreciating the lines and beauty of the car as a whole.

I think that 997s, particularly cabs, look sort of weird without the rear badge. The remaining space looks empty like something is missing, and it makes the spoiler look too small.

Hey points same thing happened to me about 3 months ago I personally like the look of the badge, as its kind of like the "bow" on a package I ordered a new one from Eric at BP.com, and it was a very easy replace install. I love your car, but think it looks a tad bare-***'d without the badge. IMHO
