This is kind of a dumb question, but has anyone had any warranty woes when changing their own oil? I bring my car to the dealership in the cold MA winters, but come summer I would definitely do them myself. Of course, if this will cause issues I'll eat the bill and bring it to Porsche.
If things geet ugly, you may need to prove that the service was done.
When it comes to good-will, dealers generally look at the service record as part of their evaluation.

I 'LOVED' the Spreadsheet Maintenance Record provided by 'Maintenance Mike'. I do the [almost] exact same thing/format for all of my maintenance for a 2012 997.2 Turbo S, and previously for a 996 I owned - in an Excel file. I print out a copy after each update & place it inside of the OEM Maintenance/Owners Book.
And, I thought I was the only one who could be this detailed! Love this forum. Porsche Owners have always possessed a propensity towards 'Excellence', like no other car owner. Thanks for all of the positive exchanges which occur.
As much as I think I know, I learn - or confirm - something each time I visit.
