Just arrived, speedART's LED DRL Conversion for the 997!!!
Well, you guys have asked for these, and speedART has delivered!
We are proud to present speedART's LED Daytime Running Light Conversion for the 997 C2, C4, and GT3. They've been out for the 997 Turbo for quite some time now, and we've received a ton of inquiries asking when they would be out for the rest of the 997 lineup. The wait is over!
For more info and pricing, please visit the product page on our site: http://www.gmpperformance.com/index....ail&PID=205678
These are even easier to install than on the Turbo, because you don't have to remove the front bumper. They simply bolt in place of the stock units!
Also, there is no core charge on these, so no hassles with sending back the originals. Here's what they look like:
Let me know if you have any questions. As soon as we have a set sold locally, I will have some more pictures/video up for you guys.

Three Wheelin'
Do you make a kit that "removes" the LED running lights on the new 997's? I think they are hideous looking. No way I would retrofit one, and certainly not at a cost of $1500....yowzers!

I'd be worried sticking $1,500 into this part.
All it takes is a 'credit card' to remove them.
Remember how Porsche headlights were being ripped off a few years back.

Agree. Techart's got a much nicer setup for about the same price but the damn thing won't fit on a stock 911 bumper. Their idea is to buy their bumper @ $4,500. Then spend another $1,500 for the lights! I'd like to wake up in their world tomorrow. They do claim "more models on the way". Hopefully at a more reasonable price.

That 997.1 LED version isn't quite the same look as the 997.2. The bulbs are smaller and too close to each other, making it appear like a solid strip of light unlike the 997.2 and Audi's.

The pricing doesn't reflect the realities of today. Are the first ten buyers paying for the IR&D on this item? From strictly a materials list, you got what,--$20 of LEDS in there,--tops? Also, not too keen on the look. It looks very much added on, as opposed to integrated. Do they even function as turn signals, or just running lights? If that's the case, your pricing is completely nuts.

Actually looks like a very nice product.
Price-point is about three times too high, IMO.
There's a recession going on...it's been in all the papers.

$1500???? As a LED fixture Manufacturer, pending on using name brand led, the whole thing parts+design can be made under $100. Had study this design options last year, needing DOT approval, buying product liability insurance etc...I can see the cost around $600. Factoring all the above out of the equation, it can be produce in China under $50.00 and market it for $150.00 any group buy here?
$1,500 is a lot of profit for a set of strip of LED. Wait a minute, it's for the Porsche,it's Justifiable. I have to paid $400 for a set of rear bumperette. It's only two plastic cover, why not $1500 for the led!!!!
