Default Now I really feel like a Pcar owner

Two reasons.

1. Joined Rennlist

2. One of the cupholders fell apart on my 3 week old 09C4S. Was able to put it back together but I could just hear the voices of Porsche engineers: "You want cupholders? We'll give you cupholders."

Couldn't agree more. The cup holder is just to get my joe from the coffee shop to the office.

They were good cars before they added those things.

Also works well for handcuffs in a pinch for those in the passenger seat who should be restrained.

My cupholder broke on delivery! The salesguy was showing it to us, and it just wouldn't close! They finally rigged it up to stay closed until they could get a replacement in, but boy was the salesguy embarrassed.

The service tech said that this was because Porsche engineers didn't want to design one.

No problems with it since it got replaced! Car's been fine otherwise...

In the front part of the holder is a spring loaded piece of plastic designed to grip the cup as the cup is pushed down. This piece of plastic and the spring popped out and on to the floor. The cupholder would still hold a cup but less securely. It was straightforward to figure out how to put it back together by looking at the other cupholder.

So it broke again today on the way home. Can't find the spring. May have to ask the dealer to fix.

thats crazy, both cars mine have been fine.. i guess the guys that installed mine were not so upset about the 911 "needing" cupholders.

Any one try the Ultimate Cup Holders? A lot of users on Bimmerfest swear by them. FWIW, look at the "comparisons" page. I especially like the last two examples on the "comparison" page!
